JapShow 2019 Report
Jap Show witnessed some truly incredible machines this weekend, paying tribute to Japans Fastest and Finest! From the Show Paddock and Club Displays to RWYB, we enjoyed an extraordinary day both on and off the track in true Jap Style!
The Show Paddock hosted the Autoglym Show & Shine competition. Displaying an impressive array of Japanese machinery, it was a very tough decision for the judges with some very high-spec vehicles on display.
The winners were as follows:
Putting those driving skills of speed and precision to the ultimate test, Sebastian Jones took home the first trophy of the day in the Handling Track Competition. In his Suzuki Wagon R+, he completed the circuit in an incredible 23.31 seconds - well done!
The ¼ mile played host to Round 3 of the FWD Drag Series, and the RWYB competition, seeing some very impressive runs on the dragstrip – winners had all of the bragging rights!
Well done to the winner of Round 3’s FWD Drag Series Douglas Gemmel! In the final, Gemmel and Lewry went head to head on the ¼ mile with Gemmel taking the win with 10.69 at 145mph! Douglas Gemmel and Scott Nobby Lewry now sit first and third on the 2019 Championship Points Table. It will be all to play for in Round 4 at Fast show Reloaded!
The RWYB competition saw some ruthless competition throughout the classes; we witnessed an array of Jap cars hit the track with some very impressive ET’s.
The results of the RWYB competition were as follows:
Over on the Live Stage, legend DJ Richie Don, provided us with the perfect soundtrack for JapShow, keeping us entertained over in the Show Paddock all day. We witnessed a Jaw - dropping show over in the Live Action Arena with gravity defying tricks from Broke FMX and fantastic drifting displays from Team Maximum Lock, not forgetting as the sideways adrenaline filled fun over in the drift arena!
We hope you all had your cameras at the ready as Martin Hill teared down the track in 5.8566 at an incredible 276 mph in FireForce 5, The Jet Dragster!
We would like to say a big thank you to all the clubs for their continued support each year - we were in awe at the fantastic Japanese machinery on display!
To everyone that attended JapShow 2019 and from all the Santa Pod team, we would like to thank you and hope you had a brilliant day! Look forward to seeing you at JapShow Finale! http://www.japshowfinale.co.uk/index.php
